About the Job

Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, this position functions to provide timely admixture services of chemotherapeutic and biotherapeutic agents, other intravenous medications and IV admixtures. 

Prepares IV solutions and medications including chemotherapy and biotherapy for outpatients in the Infusion Center following ASCO Chemotherapy Safety Standards and Chemotherapy Biotherapy preparation policies and procedures, and guidelines for sterile compounding according to written orders and under close supervision of a Pharmacist.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Pharmacy Technician National Certification and Pharmacy Technician
  • At least one year as a certified pharmacy Technician.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital.
  • Preferred: Experience with Pyxis automated medication system.

                          

Shift

30 hours weekly M-F 9AM-3PM
