About the Job

The HRIS Analyst II is responsible for supporting and maintaining Lahey HR Systems to maximize effectiveness of the organizations business operations. This role will also consult with the HR and management teams on the short and long term use of the PeopleSoft HCM modules, do analysis of functional and technical business requirements and some production support.  As an HRIS Analyst II, the primary focus will be supporting the benefits group, but will also be responsible for the testing and implementation of PUM updates. The HRIS Analyst II will interface with the Information Systems & Technology group for identification and resolution of issues, evaluation of potential system enhancements and upgrades, and system conversions to meet changing business requirements.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Serves as primary resource and owner of PeopleSoft Benefits and Benefit Administration modules.
  • Serves as primary resource for testing and rollout of regularly scheduled PUM updates.
  • Provides research, analysis and recommendation when new modules or functional business processes are needed.
  • Analyze functional and technical business requirements with HR and IT staff.
  • Assist HR Staff with technical issues related to HR Systems by investigating problems and developing detailed suggestions for resolution of issues.
  • Project Management - Provide oversight and structure on HR projects to ensure repeatable project success and provide methods, processes and tools to plan, execute and monitor projects. Accountable for keeping the project sponsors and stakeholders aware of the status of a project. Ensure successful closure and completion for all aspects of the project.
  • Assist in the development or modification of existing HRIS processes and programs to meet changing business demands.
  • Creation of reports using standard formats for short and longer term strategic direction to ensure reuse and maintainability.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years in HRIS environment working directly within PeopleSoft HCM application
  • Direct experience with PeopleSoft HCM and Benefit Administration is required
  • Experience with ESS & MSS, PS Security, Profile Management and Payroll is a plus
  • Proven experience in PS query, reporting tools
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Strong functional knowledge of HR functions such as Core HR and Benefits is required.
  • Other functional knowledge of Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Compensation, Self Service, is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and comply with confidentiality and privacy rules
  • Strong people, customer service and written/oral communication skills required
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in time-sensitive situations with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex data issues to determine cause
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects
  • Strong analytical skills, proactive approach and attention to detail
