About the Job
Under general supervision of a Neurologist, Physiatrist, or clinical Neurophysiologist, performs Nerve Conduction studies (NCS) to access the function of peripheral nerve pathways. The NCS procedure is performed in conjunction with electromyography (EMG), which is an invasive needle procedure.
Education: High School
Licensure, Certification, Registration: None, NCS registered preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Understands and utilizes the basic principles of nerve conduction studies including digital recording equipment, such that a study can be performed and presented for interpretation.
Experience: At least six months in an EMG Lab. At least six months to 1 year in hospital EMG Lab setting preferred.
Hours - 8:00am to 4:30pm hours could vary slightly.
Position is based in Burlington but will float to Peabody on occasion to cover a sick call/vacation.
