About the Job

Greets and provides assistance to incoming patients and visitors registers and schedules patients in Epic.Schedules patients accurately and efficiently, taking into consideration patient needs and availability of providers.   Handles incoming telephone calls; requires excellent communication and multi tasking skills in a fast paced environment.  Coordinates scheduling of follow-up appointments, diagnostic or therapeutic procedures by working in cooperation with physicians, patients and other hospital departmental personnel , as necessary.    Computer skills, including basic Microsoft Office applications required.   Performs general clerical duties such as filing, medical record maintenance, photocopying, faxing and verifying insurance eligibility.  One year similar patient care clerical experience, knowledge of basic medical terminology, health insurance and Epic strongly preferred.   


Part time 16 hours weekly - Hours vary between 7:30 and 5 PM / day shift - Mondays and Tuesdays  8 - 8.5 hour day.
