About the Job

Provides daily direction of the Video Conferencing, Audiovisual, Medical Photography/Videography, Digital Media services and In-house Direct TV system for Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. Collaborates with the IS and IT departments and all other Lahey Health Network partners to provide a reliable network for Video Conferencing. Responsible for all AV systems in our training and conference rooms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  1.   Manages and performs Video conferencing services including scheduling setup, staffing, establish and verifying connections for bridge, single and multipoint calls, monitoring and trouble-shooting systems.
  2. Support Desk top video system as necessary 
  3.   Manages and performs Medical and general photographic and video services to support promotion of clinical services, public relations and medical education.
  4.    Project Manager for Audiovisual and Video Conferencing installations. Includes evaluating needs, system requirements, recommending equipment and working with the vendor during final installation and testing.
  5.    Oversee all audiovisual systems in Lahey’s training and conference rooms. This includes updating equipment as needed, troubleshooting problems, making minor repairs and arranging for a vendor service call if needed.
  6.    Train staff and clients on use of A/V and Video Conferencing systems.  Work closely with IT team to ensures utmost network security and functionality
  7.    Oversee Lahey Clinic’s internal Lahey television network and Direct TV system and respond to requests, repairs and replacements as needed
  8.    Performs and oversees video production and post-production using Final Cut Pro non-linear editing system
  9.    Convert video presentations to appropriate format for use on and/or MassNet
  10.    Capture and stream Auditorium events as needed using the Accordant Capture Station. Works with the Web Team to assure quality, proper naming and formatting of the presentations.
  11.    Manages staff schedule to provide coverage for business hours, ensuring that department is staffed during business hours.      
  12.    Provide digital media services using various programs, scanners, printers and digital cameras. Must be Mac and PC proficient using MS Office and Adobe Photoshop.
  13.    Plans and oversees Service and Maintenance contracts for the Video Conferencing systems and In-house Television system
  14. Supervision and management of Patient TV concierge services.
  15.    Manages and administers GoToMeeting license for Medical Education.


Minimum Qualifications:


College or specialty school degree in Photography. Training in Video production.


Licensure, Certification & Registration:


  CTS   Infocomm Certified Technologist Specialist or get it within 1 year



A minimum of 5 years Professional Medical Photography and Video background, 5 years of general Photography,  5 years  using and managing Audiovisual technologies,  5 years using various Video Conferencing systems, technologies and services. 5 years managing staff, budgets and departmental needs. Integration of AV, Video Conferencing systems with IT Networks a plus. Project management for new AV and Video conferencing system planning, acquisition, installation and testing. Experience with streaming video for on-demand use. Familiar with using, managing and administering Desktop video applications.



Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Knowledge of digital photography and video production. Must be able to perform these duties in the Operationg Room, Hospital and Clinical settings.  Must be proficient with tools such as Macs and PCs using PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and other imaging software and equipment. Must be skilled at video production and post-production using tools such as Final Cut Pro. Have a demonstrated abilty with photographic and video cameras. Must be a motivated self-starter and  able to work under rush or stressful situations when necessary. Familiar setting up and using GoToMeeting. Administer GoToMeeting license for Medical Education. Provides excellent customer service in a professional manner at all times.  

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
