At Beth Israel Lahey Health, the Performance Improvement Operations department is seeking highly qualified, motivated professionals to assist teams in driving waste out of their daily processes in order to provide high quality, team-based care. As a project manager and continuous improvement specialist, you will have the opportunity to build multidisciplinary teams and coach them to use the science of improvement to achieve their goals. Working with frontline staff, core managers and senior leadership, this role creates great opportunity for both teaching and learning. You will help develop others while always seeking to develop yourself.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Skilled in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, A3, DMAIC, root cause problem solving as well as process management and change management.
  • Partner and collaborate with stakeholders, executive and leadership level personnel, along with other business and technical teams to create project plans, objectives, and assure deadlines are met.
  • Possess strong problem solving, critical thinking, organization, presentation facilitation and communication skills.
  • Maintains and facilitates a performance improvement culture. Serves as an impactful change agent. Takes initiative to reach out and drive changes.
  • Develops teams to thrive on change and inspires colleagues to embrace and embed new ways of working.
  • Ability to manage “medium” to “large” scope organizational projects and initiatives.Types of projects include but are not limited to Primary care practice
  • redesign.
  • Oversees the quality and appropriateness of the work performed to ensure it delivers measurable business benefits.
  • Supporting a professional team by leading, training, and coaching associates leading improvement projects and implementing continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Travel locally within MA to other Lahey sites - 50% - 70% (not over-night).
