About the Job

Oncology Care Model (OCM) Project Management Tasks

  • Acts as liaison between CMS, Lahey Health, and providers
  • Tracks deliverables and ensures responsible parties deliver in a  timely manner
  • Manage communication between multiple internal stakeholders and CMS
  • Create PowerPoint presentations about program and progress
  • Create and distribute educational materials, up to date information about program, and financial statements for senior management and responsible parties
  • Reconcile billing for missed opportunities through claims data
  • Manage CMS data warehouse


Oncology Care Model (OCM) Administrative Department Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Records and distributes meeting notes
  • Produces and distributes meeting agendas
  • Coordinates meetings for OCM team and team members
  • Manages and coordinates OCM travel arrangements and associated travel reimbursements for conferences and meetings
  • Coordinates off site meetings for team members
  • Create/edit PowerPoint slides for national and CMS meetings

OCM Specific Responsibilities and Tasks:


  • Manages and sends mailings to OCM beneficiaries; sends the required CMS beneficiary letter and Lahey’s Cancer Care and Chemotherapy Support pamphlet
  • Manages the OCM         Flag status in Epic
    • Activates OCM flag for new episodes
    • Deactivates OCM flag for episodes that have ended
    • Deactivates OCM flag for patients who have deceased, entered hospice, or are no longer on Medicare
  • Records OCM Episode for each OCM patient in Epic
    • Links the appropriate problem diagnosis to the episode
    • Records the route of chemo, eligible medication, provider, MEOS start date, MEOS end date, Baseline Price
    • When episode is completed ‘resolves’ the episode
  • Records Oral Telephone Call Medication Management Documentation
  • Record in Epic Oral Fill Dates and Part D verification documentation (OCM medication, fill date, prescription coverage, prescription coverage plan)
  • Verifies Part D coverage on Medicare website for all new patients found on oral data report monthly
    • Runs Epic report to obtain Part A effective date for necessary verification data fields in Medicare
    • Searches Medicare site with patients information (zip, Medicare #, Last name, Effective date Part A, DOB)
    • Verifies oral medication fill dates by calling local and Specialty Pharmacies to determine initiation of patient episode

Other responsibilities

  • Update monthly dashboards for OCM for department, providers, and clinical staff
  • Create/gather information for newsletter for performance improvement initiatives
  • Manage/update/gather information for OCM related documents between Lahey and CMS
  • Other administrative responsibilities may be assigned depending on OCM and department needs
  • Support Navigators for administrative tasks such as drug assistance and FMLEA paper work



5 or more years of experience

Knowledge of EPIC, Excel, Office, Word GSuite
