About the Job
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Provider Enrollment, the Provider Enrollment Supervisor is responsible for training and overseeing the day to day work of the Provider Enrollment Coordinators. Communicates to manager all on-going needs for training and other resources to ensure accurate and efficient enrollment of Lahey Health providers with insurance plans. Works collaboratively with Patient Financial Services, and other departments to identify and resolve insurance plan enrollment related issues. Identifies and communicates issues that require escalation to manager for resolution in a timely manner.
Responsible for preparing and submitting provider enrollment and re-enrollment applications to insurance plans for all Lahey Health providers, and for accurately using the databases and other technologies needed to do this work. Professionally communicates both verbally and in written work regarding provider enrollment.
The Lahey Medical Staff Affairs Department is responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government regulatory requirements/standards as well as commercial payer rules and regulations related to credentialing and enrollment of healthcare providers. This department works closely with a diverse team of professionals overseeing business processes associated with provider credentialing and enrollment as well as system reimbursement, customer service, and compliance.
Additionally, The Provider Enrollment team plays a vital role in making sure Lahey Health is able to collect payments on behalf of providers and facilities for healthcare services rendered.
Education: Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of an Associate degree in healthcare or related field.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: N/A
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Three - five years working within a healthcare facility or health insurance plan provider enrollment setting. Significant experience using Google G-Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Experience: Knowledge of ECHO credentialing software and associated applications strongly preferred. Recent Supervisory experience desired.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision and to adapt quickly to changes within the environment.
