About the Job
The Noninvasive Cardiac Testing department is an integral part of the Cardiovascular Service Line at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. The department offers state-of-the-art diagnostic testing for heart and vascular conditions such as arrhythmias, heart failure, coronary artery disease, carotid artery disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, and more. Offered testing include Electrocardiogram (EKG), Stress Testing, Echocardiography, Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring, and Remote/Clinic Cardiac Device (pacemaker/ICD) Interrogation. Each area is supervised by cardiovascular experts and staffed by highly skilled exercise physiologists, sonographers and technicians. This busy department that supports more than 54,000 tests per year on the ambulatory and inpatient side. The Noninvasive Cardiac Testing department and its colleagues pride themselves on best accommodating clinical needs of patients and delivering outstanding quality care.
Education: Associate degree Liberal Arts/Science
Licensure, Certification & Registration: Maintains basic life support and ACLS (AHA)
Experience: 3 years of experience in a fast paced hospital and clinic based Cardiology service
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Basic ECG interpretation and rhythm analysis. Organized self-directed individual with strong written and verbal communication skills. Customer service focused. Knowledge of cardiovascular medical terminology. Utilizes critical thinking and good judgment in performing of clinical tasks.
Must possess strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities. Possess strong ECG Interpretation skills including abnormal rhythm and pacer interpretation. Possess strong computer skills.
