THE DEPARTMENT OF HOSPITAL MEDICINE AT LAHEY HEALTH/LAHEY HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER IS ACTIVELY RECRUITING FOR A SITE DIRECTOR AT BEVERLY AND ADDISON GILBERT HOSPITALS, MEMBER HOSPITALS OF LAHEY HEALTH

 

The Department of Hospital Medicine at Lahey Health, headquartered in Burlington MA, is actively seeking an experienced physician leader to manage and operate Hospital Medicine Services at Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital, member hospitals of Lahey Health. The Hospital Medicine Group is comprised of approximately 30 providers, all committed to providing high quality patient-centered care.  Our hospitalists enjoy a high level of collegiality and a supportive environment in which individual contributions are recognized and true team spirit is fostered and expected. In your role as the Hospital Medicine Site Director at Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals, you will report to the Chairperson of Hospital Medicine at Lahey Health. Among your responsibilities, you will be expected to:

 

  • Work and collaborate with physician, nursing and administrative leadership as a triad in achieving high quality, patient centric, and cost effective care.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Departments of Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Surgery, as well as community practitioners.
  • Identify and communicate to providers 1, 3 and 5 year performance goals and standards.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement goals and objectives.
  • Provide high quality clinical care.
  • Serve as a role model to other members of the Hospitalist Team.
  • Develop and conduct quarterly and annual performance evaluations.
  • Assist in the Recruitment and Retention of Physicians and Advanced Practitioners.
  • Develop Annual Budget.

 

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Degree from an accredited institution and have completed an Internal Medicine or related Residency Training Program. He or she will be Board Certified and MA-Licensed or eligible. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a hospitalist, and at least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role. He or she should be actively pursuing or have attained designation as a Fellow in Hospital Medicine and/or Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Candidate should possess strong clinical, managerial and leadership skills, and demonstrate a high level of emotional and social intelligence.
