About the Job




  • Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited RN program.
  • BSN or obtain BSN within 5 years of hire/promotion.

Grandfather situation for those in the position prior to 4/5/13:  Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing  

Preferred: Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing


Required: At least two years of work experience as a nurse and one year clinical experience relevant to the unit’s patient population

Other Skills/Knowledge:


  • Demonstrated ability to function in both Charge and Preceptor roles
  • Basic computer skills
  • For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team.

Preferred: Membership in professional nursing organization


Required: Massachusetts Registered Nurse License

Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty  

LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:  Basic Life Support certification is required.           



40 Hours - Monday-Friday various hours
