About the Job

24 hour mobil crisis team that offers emergency psychiatric assessments to determin what service would benefit the person served, as well as intervention and stabilization services.

Position Summary;

Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and responsibilities. Primarily responsible for ensuring an environment that promotes safety, recovery, and treatment. Works effectively and collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to enhance the smooth delivery of quality care.

Job Functions & Responsibilities;

Working proactively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to enhance the smooth delivery of quality care, you will:

  • Assist in admitting, discharging and transferring patients, ensuring their safety is addressed
  • Monitor patient valuables during body and belonging search and enter data
  • Assist with case management duties, including:
    • One on one client contact
    • Family conferences, if needed
    • Collaboration with other services providers
    • Follow-up with referral programs
  • If you’re certified as a CPS, you will also provide peer-to-peer support and psycho-education about wellness and recovery
  • Act as a liaison to all inpatient facilities, case managers, psychiatrists, therapists, clinicians, referred agencies and families to maintain communication for staff and clients
  • Lead or co-lead supportive psycho-educational groups
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, assist with development of care plans and report any issues directly to the RN
  • Record and report all observed symptoms, reactions, treatments and changes in the patients’ safety status
  • Monitor the patient milieu for safety issues and assist with promoting a positive therapeutic environment

In addition to a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changes in the workplace, ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field.
