Under the direction of the Cardiology Outpatient clinic leadership,
including the Chair of Cardiology, and within established practice
guidelines, the APC is responsible for performing a variety of duties in
the evaluation, treatment plan, care, diagnosis, and follow-up of
assigned Cardiology outpatients. May provide preventative, pre & post-procedural
care. Qualifications Physician Assistant: Graduate of an
accredited Physician Program. Documentation of registration for next
NCCPA Board administration or successful completion of NCCPA Board and
maintenance of appropriate CME Practitioner RN: Graduate of a Master's
Program in Nursing. Maintain currency through Clinical Education Units.
Certification and current license to practice in the Commonwealth of
DEA number and Mass Department of Public Health Division of Food and
Drug Restricted Substances registration number as appropriate.
Good communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with medical
staff , nursing staff, and other clinical and administrative colleagues
as well as with patients and their families. Knowledge of clinical
procedures and protocols. Demonstrated ability to maintain
confidentiality and ability to provide appropriate emotional support.
