Reporting to the Director of Population Health Performance Improvement, the Quality Performance Analyst will manage the quality data to ensure success in payer risk and P4P quality programs. She/he will work closely with the Manager, Ambulatory Quality to accurately capture and report clinical process and outcome data to support the LACU Population Health Care Team (Case Managers, Population Health Coordinators, and Providers) The main role of the this individual is to analyze look at physician performance metrics as reported by the plan, clean and validate data, update and organize reports for the Care Team, identify possible drivers of trend, and perform data dives related to performance. The individual will also work on various ad-hoc requests related to payer risk and P4P contracts and support performance improvement programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Provide analytical support to Lahey ACU initiatives, (i.e. data analysis, pod specific reports, meeting attendance of analytical staff).
2. Perform analysis on contractual HEDIS measures to help determine gaps in care.
3. Support all analytical requirements for physician incentive programs and monitor the performance results on a monthly and quarterly basis.
4. Learn and understand claims data as it relates to quality metrics and be able to extract and manipulate data for various analyses.
5. Communicate effectively with cross-functional team.
6. Performs related duties as required.
7. Meets regularly with the other account managers to update progress and insure consistency, share best practices and address any obstacles to success.
Education: Bachelor?s degree. In the absence of a bachelor?s degree, 8 years of experience in addition to the experience requirement listed below.
Licensure, Certification & Registration: None.
Experience: One year of relative experience required. Familiarity with Pay-for-Performance and Payer Risk Contracts, Healthcare Quality concepts desired.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
-Candidates should be skilled in computer based analytic tools and relational databases and will be expected to work with the IT department and vendors to produce actionable reports.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and Pivot Tables. Knowledge of predictive modeling and risk stratification is desirable.
-Ability to work with all levels of individuals within the organization is essential.
-Must possess the ability to translate specifications into programming logic, and the ability to think analytically and present results in a clear and concise manner are required.
