RN Radiology 40hrs Days

The Radiology Nurse at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is primarily responsible for meeting the patients needs and monitoring vital signs during procedures in Interventional and Interventional Neuro Radiology, including administering moderate sedation. The radiology nurse also provides nursing care as needed in all radiology modalities. The hours of operation for both Interventional Radiology and Interventional Neuro Radiology are 7AM-5:30PM Monday through Friday. The On Call Staff covers 5:30PM to 7AM, and all weekends and major holidays. The hours for this position are Four 10 hour shifts 7AM-5:30 PM Monday through Friday. Position does take call on weekends and holidays on a rotation.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center utilizes complete computerized charting (EPIC) for patient
assessment and care documentation, and to electronically record medication administration for the delivery of all medications provided to their patients. Computerized self-scheduling is available.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is a Tufts teaching hospital with a staff of over 4,000 and 317 beds Conveniently located in Burlington, MA north of Boston and south of Manchester, NH with free parking; the Burlington Mall and many great restaurants are next door. Qualifications

Nursing Diploma or ASN, BSN preferred. At least 1 year of previous experience in acute care
setting required, Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred.
Current Massachusetts registered Nurse license required.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification and
ACLS certification required.

Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to
read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.

Must be able to lift 75 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Must be able to wear 16-20 lbs. of protective lead for most of the shift.

Desired skills: Previous experience caring for patients undergoing procedures with nurse
administered moderate sedation.

Shift

DAYS Monday to Friday four 10 hour shifts/week. On-call responsibilities
