Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Ambulatory and Infusion Center Coordinator is responsible for leading all aspects of ambulatory, oncology, and infusion center services and programs for Northeast Health System.

The incumbent will work closely with the Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Operations Manager/Medication Safety Officer, and Pharmacy Clinical Manager to support the service line?s overall effectiveness and oversee the optimization of pharmacy services related to the care of patients requiring ambulatory services.



Ensure systems are in place to enable continuity and standardization of best practices related to the use of medications for all ambulatory patients, including our infusion clinics.
Assist the Pharmacy Operations Manager Medication Safety Officer to assure efficient daily ambulatory services operations and inventory management.
Assist the Pharmacy Clinical Manager in clinical guideline development, EHR orderset review, and formulary management.
Assure compliance with stated polices of oncology clinical trials and research standards.
Serve as the Department of Pharmacy representative for service line-specific hospital and system-wide multidisciplinary committees.
Develop and review processes to assure efficient specialty pharmacy practices and optimal ambulatory/oncologic agent reimbursement.
Serve as an educational and drug information resource to the medical staff, nursing, as well as patients as requested/needed.
Provide service line-specific education to staff pharmacists
Serve as additional pharmacist staff support for the infusion clinics, as needed.



Graduate of an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy.
Minimum of 2 years of hospital or ambulatory care clinical pharmacy experience
Experience in oncology, outpatient infusion center, or specialty pharmacy services preferred
Experience with, or willingness to learn, reimbursement and cost management principles.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing


Current Pharmacist License from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy
PGY1, PGY2 in Oncology, or BCOP preferred.

Scheduled Hours

Full-time, 40 hour, exempt position, M-F
