Labor Relations Specialist

In this role, under the direction of the Vice President, Human Resources, provides day to day consulting, mediation, facilitation and guidance regarding bargaining unit employment and labor issues, including but not limited to:

*Assisting in contract administration
*Discipline
*Grievance resolution
*Collective bargaining
*Settlements and other labor/employee relations functions
*Assists in the administration of the bargaining unit grievance process
*Serves as member of management negotiating team and responsible for significant
preparation for the bargaining process.
*Responsible for maintaining satisfactory labor-management relations between management
and union

Qualifications

Education: BS/BA or equivalent in related field

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands on experience in the area of labor relations, including negotiations, contract administration, settlements, grievance handling and investigation.

*At least 4 years experience as an HR Generalist
*Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Content expert in areas of collaborative bargaining, alternative
dispute resolutions, contract administration, grievance, arbitration and knowledge of similar
state laws
*Strong investigative skills
*Ability to understand complex financial and workforce data
*Demonstrated track record of creative leadership in the development and articulation of
labor policy and strategy
*Project management skills
*Effective interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of employees
*Knowledge of laws governing employment

Job Type: Full-time
