Senior Adult Activity Assistant

Assumes responsibility for providing skilled, creative, high quality group programming for Geriatric acute care patients. Is expected to work effectively and collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to enhance the smooth delivery of quality care. In collaboration with clients, families & Senior Adult Unit staff - identifies patient goals, interests, and skills to develop and supervise individual and group activities.


Educational and Professional:

a. Post High School education and/or work experience in Social Work, Long-Term Care, Adult Day-Care, Rehab, Education, Geriatric Activities, Expressive Therapy, Arts or equivalent experience preferred.

b. Theoretical as well as practical knowledge of Older Adults and group programming

c. Experience working with the elderly in a similar or related environment.

Scheduled Hours

Per diem, hours assigned as needed
