About the Job

Under the direction of the Manager of Health Information Management, the Discharge Analyst is responsible for the timely organization and analysis of medical record documentation.

  • Understands and uses department computers in an appropriate and efficient manner.
  • Adheres to Department, Hospital and Human Resource Policies.
  • Performs other duties as required

Essential Functions:

  • Medical terminology
  • Knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, DPH documentation regulations; and Medical Staff Bylaws and Department documentation standards
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to patient confidentiality

Scheduled Hours

40 hours per week, days.  This position is located in Beverly, MA, not Gloucester, MA

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous medical record experience preferred
  • Computer skills; Meditech experience desirable
