The Ambulatory Division with Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services (BILHBS) consists of several Community Behavioral Health Clinics that serve a diverse clientele in a variety of office-based and outreach-based settings. Our outpatient clinics aim to support children, adolescents, adults, families & couples with mental health and substance use disorders through counseling and therapy sessions and other group programming activities. 

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for management of court services referrals and overall programming of court based/referred services, working with Director of Court Services, BILH BS outpatient clinic leadership, various district and superior courts providing program information, schedule appointments and follow up as needed. This service is designed to meet the needs of those individuals seeking behavioral health treatment through collaboration with the surrounding court system.

 The Court Services Administrative Assistant’s Responsibilities Are:

  • Collaborates with Director of Court Services, outpatient clinic leadership, various district and superior courts to meet client needs.
  • Provides program information to clients and schedules appointments as needed.
  • Maintains attendance, billing information, copayment and other documentation for Driver Alcohol Education (DAE) programs.
  • Manages and documents court services referrals, and conducts insurance verifications.
  • Responds to incoming calls, emails and other correspondence.
  • Provides status updates on court patients; Follows up with clients and reports to the courts on patients who do not show for appointments and/or evaluations timely.
  • Conducts orientation for new clients and runs group programming sessions as needed.
  • Assists in reconciling any issues with billing.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and electronic health records preferred.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.


Full-time, 40 hours/week (Mon-Fri, days)
