The Program Direcor for the Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CBHC) will develop and implement all aspects of the CBHC program in conjunction with Senior Leadership.  The Director will ensure the services are delivered according to the CBHC Model including Integrated Programming and Evidence Based Practices.  This includes the oversight of the adequacy, appropriateness, and quality of clinical programming as well as the hiring and scheduling of clinical staff, clinical orientation / onboarding and clinical supervision of staff; management of clinical performance and clinical activities to ensure adequacy and appropriateness of client care.  Development and evaluation of a quality management program inclusive of compliance with CBHC requirements.  Assist with program evaluation and clinical areas of staff performance and evaluations. Develop, implement and monitor in-service training for staff.  In conjunction with the VP of Ambulatory and Community Services, develops, as appropriate, and implements approved policies, procedures, standards and guidelines for the CBHC.

The CBHC Program Director Responsibilities: 

  1. Work closely with Senior Leadership to develop and implement the CBHC.
  2. Ensure compliance with the CBHC requirements.
  3. Hiring of new clinical staff; interviewing, orientation, and training. 
  4. Responsible for the oversight of programming/services with continuous evaluation of efficacy, quality of service and recommendations for changes when needed.
  5. Responsible for the development and evaluation of the CBHC Quality Management Program in conjunction with Senior Leadership.
  6. Ongoing review of clinical activities and enhancement in performance and services. Continuous quality development for CBHC services through procedures, manuals, training materials, participation in trainings, best practices, using staff and the research literature as resources.
  7. Ensures that clinical supervision is received by all clinical staff appropriate to individual’s level of education and expertise.
  8. Provides individual and/or group clinical supervision to clinicians and/or interns as needed. Continuously assess learning needs of supervisee; develop and implement learning objectives and supervision plan; complete performance reviews as required.
  9. Serve as a key liaison for the program and direct the resolution of inquiries, problems, complaints, or emergencies affecting availability or quality of services; respond to sensitive or complex inquiries, service complaints, or grievances filed.
  10. Ensure availability outside of scheduled supervisory meetings and promptly respond to clinical emergencies at the CBHC.
  11. Develop, implement and monitor in-service training for staff.
  12. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that supervisee’s paperwork is timely and written in an accurate, legible and concise manner (including proper completion of billing paperwork). Ensures supervisee’s records are in compliance with the organizations methods of Quality Assurance.
  13. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal, external providers, as well as other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Independently licensed clinician with at least four (4) years of progressive management experience post master’s degree.
  • Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorder healthcare practices, evidenced based treatments and managed care principles.  Provider development and quality improvement concepts is helpful. Familiarity with state and local agencies serving the community is essential.
  • Must possess outstanding planning and implementation skills, a strategic approach, and a good working knowledge of data reporting and analysis skills.
  • Computer literate in standard desktop applications such as O365, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
