About the Job

Working in collaboration with supervising physician(s), provides management of health problems, patient teaching, health counseling and community outreach. Acts as a liaison through coordination of care and communication of needs to physician(s). Provides clear and timely documentation in the medical record using SOAP format. Appropriately refers patients using IPA resources and practice guidelines.

Education: 

Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Program.

Documentation of registration for next NCCPA Board administration or successful completion of NCCPA Board and maintenance of appropriate CME.

Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of a Masters Program in Nursing. Board certification as AGACNP  is preferred. 

Maintain currency through Clinical Education Units.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: 

Certification and current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  

DEA number and Mass Department of Public Health Division of Food and Drug Restricted Substances registration number as appropriate. 

Written prescription privilege protocols signed by all attendings with whom the individual will be working.
