Reporting to the Director of HR for the Lahey Health Behavioral Services, the HR Business Partner will be responsible for directly providing, driving and coordinating the delivery of HR services and programs to meet the organization?s strategic plan. Will drive the development of people strategies and solutions aligned with the unit?s strategies and operational goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS
Coach and counsel managers to increase the effectiveness of management skills so that Standards of Behavior, policies, practices and employment law are properly considered in decisions and processes.
Manage complex employee relations issues, provide conflict resolution support to employees and managers, and directly participate in the review of disciplinary actions.
Actively monitor and escalate any potential legal exposures.
Anticipate the impact of decisions, programs, processes or initiatives, and initiate actions with the leadership team to enhance positive results for the organization.
Participate as a business partner to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Ensure thorough and effective communication to client organization regarding policies, practices and programs introduced.
ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT AND EFFECTIVENESS
Assess the organizational health, diagnose team processes and drive actions to improve productivity, commitment and engagement.
Align goals and strategies to business unit outcomes.
Develop teams to address business issues and engage colleagues.
Drive performance management initiatives, aligned with organizational goals.
Collaborate with leaders to enhance employee engagement, promote culture initiatives and lead organizational change.
Coordinate the delivery of OD services to support key change or transformation.
Facilitate the effective design and interaction of the leadership team.
Negotiate and influence outcomes/decisions by leaders.
Partner with the leadership team to ensure that appropriate recruiting strategies meet the ongoing needs of the organization, initiating strategic discussions for workforce planning to meet future needs.
Collaborate with recruitment team to develop and implement robust workforce development plans to meet organizational needs.
Keep the staffing group abreast of any changes in the business that may affect the recruiting process.
Participate in key recruitment and selection
Drive the annual performance and merit planning process within the areas of responsibility.
Participate in development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of compensation programs.
Provide counsel for new hire offer decisions.
Partner with Compensation on job leveling, external market studies, internal equity reviews, etc.
Actively monitor the success of compensation programs in the areas of responsibility and recommend any needed changes.
Act as a liaison with benefits education, open enrollment sessions and enrollment matters.
Answer questions or direct employees, as appropriate, with queries on compensation and benefits matters.
Participate in coordination of communication of compensation and benefits information to both colleagues and management team.
Assist in the administration of all colleague benefits programs, acting as a broker of services to the centralized team.
Help drive processes to assess competencies needed for current and future business.
Partner with business to identify required training.
Identify development opportunities and strategies, succession planning, and participate in developing solutions.
HR TEAM MEMBER
Participate in team processes and share in cross-organization HR goals and projects.
Influence the development of HR programs and processes that meet the organizational needs.
Maintain HR metrics, monitor and analyze data, and generate reporting, as needed.
Leads change initiatives to improve business results.
Act as change champion to lead business and process improvements, resulting in early colleague and leadership adoption and smooth execution.
Create change plans offering a unique perspective to enhance the organization's vision and mission and to influence engagement through well-planned and targeted coaching and leadership development.
Maintain strict adherence to the LHBS and Lahey Health Confidentiality policies.
Incorporate LHBS and Lahey Health Standards of Behavior and Guiding Principles into daily activities.
Comply with all Lahey Health Policies.
Comply with behavioral expectations of the department, LHBS and Lahey Health.
Maintain courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and /clients.
Demonstrate an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.
Demonstrate a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards.
Participate in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
Participate in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.
Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field. Masters degree preferred as well as PHR/SPHR certification.
Requires 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources. Leadership experience preferred.

Licensure, Certification & Registration: HR certification a plus
Experience: 8-10 years of HR consultant experience. Experience in related industry a plus.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Proficiency in employee relations, influence management, coaching, leadership and organization development, and change management.
Solid expertise in the area of labor law with a solid foundation in other HR functional areas, including compensation, recruiting, staff development and change management.
Proven business and financial acumen to effectively consult with leadership and drive business results.
Adept with social networking platforms needed to leverage information and HR networks; tech savvy.
Ability to use and present analytics in business decisions; able to analyze data and use metrics/analytics to measure program effectiveness and organizational ROI.
Capable of making decisions, driving business outcomes; results orientation.
Business acumen/knowledge and strong consulting skills.
Conducts oneself with integrity and highest ethical behavior.
